Yankee Boy Basin, near Ouray, Colorado, is bordered by Mt. Sneffles and Potosi Peak. This photo features Potosi Peak and wildflowers with Sneffles Creek flowing through the valley.
From my position the ducks appear to be paddling exactly between the green and yellow reflections. Since they were actually in the shade, they appear blue. The vivid colors are the result of sunset light on Palmyra Peak reflecting off the glassy water.
