The contrast of the dead wood with the colorful ground cover around it creates a beautiful abstract near Cottonwood Lake, Colorado.
This Spring photo of the largest waterfall in this area, has patches of snowdrifts on both sides of the creek. This was my first trip to this basin and there were sections of water that you could actually walk over that were covered with thick sections of ice and snow.
Sometimes a different perspective provides a different feeling to an image. This view of the Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs was photographed high up near the Rampart Range Road.
